This silver bowl is fitted with three animal-shaped mounts, with loops at the rim enabling it to be hung. Several theories exist as to the use of this hanging bowl. Did it contain Holy water, lamp oil or another substance?
Was it hung when in use or afterwards, or was it merely a decorative object?
